 CREAMY POTATO ONION GRATIN


Ingredients:

  • Large Potatoes - 5 (Peeled)
  • Onions - 2 (finely sliced) 
  • Garlic - 3 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1 tbsp
  • Grated Parmesan cheese - 2 tbsp 
  • Vegetable stock - 1 cup 
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
  • A pinch of nutmeg powder
  • Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp

  • Salt to taste

Method:

Preheat the oven to 100°C.

Slice the potatoes and onions very thinly and arrange them in a layer in a microwave safe tray.

Sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese, chopped garlic, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder and salt. Pour some of the vegetable stock over all this.

Continue layering with potatoes and onion slices and grated Parmesan cheese and then pour the rest of the stock over it all.

Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top. Bake in the microwave for 50 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown color. Serve hot.
