 VEGETABLE MANCHURIAN


Ingredients:

For Veg Balls:

  • Cabbage - 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Carrot - 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Capsicum - 1/4 cup (grated)
  • Paneer - 1/2 cup (mashed)
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 flakes (chopped)
  • Black Pepper powder - 2 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 2 to 3
  • Corn flour - 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

For Gravy:

  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 (chopped)
  • Tomato -2 (chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • Soy Sauce - 2 tsp
  • Corn flour - 1 tbsp ( dissolved in 1 cup water or Vegetable Stock)
  • Fresh Lime Juice - 1/2 tbsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 3 to 4 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

For Garnish:

  • Coriander leaves  - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Spring Onion - 1 tbsp (chopped)


Method:

For Balls:

Mix all the ingredients into a dough and roll it out in your palms to form balls and keep aside.

Heat oil for deep frying in a pan. Gently place the balls in the hot oil. The oil has to be medium hot. Fry the balls till crisp and golden and keep aside.

For Gravy:

In the same pan add 2 tbsp oil add  chopped onion, tomato and salt fry for 5 minutes. Then add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in between.

Continue to stir and mix when the veg manchurian gravy is cooking. Simmer till the gravy thickens.

Then add the fried veg manchurian balls . Gently stir and coat the veg manchurian balls in the gravy.

Remove from heat transfer to serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves and spring onion. Serve hot.
