DHOKLA


Ingredients:

  • Gram flour - 1 cup
  • Suji - 1/2 cup
  • Curds - 1 cup
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1tsp
  • Eno fruit salt - 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • Salt to taste

 For Tempering:

  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilli - 5
  • Curry leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp 

For Garnish:

  • Shredded coconut - 1 tbsp  
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)

Method:

Mix all ingredients together to make a batter.

Pour this batter into a microwave safe bowl and microwave covered at 60% power for 5 to 10 minutes.

When its ready to pour 1/4 cup water over it and cover it.

In a microwave safe bowl, add all ingredients and microwave for 5 minutes.

Pour this tempering over the prepared dhokla and cut into pieces.

Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and shredded coconut and serve with sauce or coconut chutney.
